Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Born and raised in Cicero just out of Chicago. Living in Tampa it's hard to find that Chi-Town taste. While in high school I worked for a well known hot dog/beef stand that still operates to this day. I have to say Henry's has done it almost to perfection. My wife and I stopped in, we give almost anything Chicago a try. We were very happy we did. Henry's really brought out their Chicago roots. I had their Chicago style hot dogs a try and my wife had the Italian Beef sandwich. The dogs were perfect. My wife let me try the beef and it was done well. I was also happy to see they had Pizza Puffs! I haven't had 1 in about 10 years.

I just moved here from New York and wow I was thrilled to find a Chicago hot dog place so close to me. I ordered s Chicago hot dog and a chili dog. ONG. They were both so delicious its a pleasure to find a real authentic Chicago dog. I can't wait to go back and try their roast beef sandwich and fries. I give them 5 deserving stars

If you want a real Chicago dog this place hits it spot on, except my bun was a little bit soggy. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. Their pizza puff is really good too but could of been cooked a little longer it was really doughy. Other than my soggy bun the dog was delish!

Great Chicago style dog! The Italian beef was good too... not quite portillo's beef but very tasty just the same. I give Henry's props based on their authentic Chicago recipes. It's like a stop in chi town for your taste buds. Great prices too!

I was working in the area and trying to look for something quick and simple for lunch. I came across Henry's Chicago style Hot dog. There really wasn't much seating but by the time I came it was already past lunch hour. Someone else had mentioned that it looks like the hotdog was swallowed up by The bun and I have to agree. I had some sauerkraut and mustard and ketchup of mine but it did not make up for it. Over all the service is friendly and the place is clean. Perhaps next time I will smother my hotdogs with more toppings and it might turn out to be a great meal!

One small note: Don't go here at noon on Saturday. The wait will be long. With that out of the way. GO HERE! I'd seen the billboard on my way home from work the previous night, so last Saturday afternoon, I piled the husband into the car for our weekly sojurn to a new resturant to try. Both of us enjoy hotdogs and this place promised to be a mecca of Hot Doggy Goodness! It was during lunch rush and there was no seat to be had, so we chose to stand and wait for a while until a couple got up, taking their seat to wait for our food. I ordered the Chili dog, no onions, my husband ordered the polish sausage with hot kraut and we decided to get an order of chili cheese fries, and worried that they wouldn't be enough between us. When the food came out, we were a bit surprised. Me by the size of the hot dog, it seemed to be swallowed up by the size of the bun, but they made up for it with the slathering on of the chili sauce. My husband said that the Polis Sausage was delicious, and the chili cheese fries were.. AMAZING! Their single order was enough for both of us and a gooey hot mess to eat. We loved them. Less than $20.00 for the dogs, the fries and the drinks, and we included a 15% tip, so reasonable too! I recommend this place highly!

Food was horrible and over priced(4.00 a hotdog) ! Don't let other reviews fool you. I personally watched them cook all the hotdogs in the microwave, they even microwave the buns too. Chili taste like it's straight out off the can. It was the only thing that was kept hot on the steam table. If you want something fresh better order the fries, if the have changed the oil. If you want fresh chili dogs it's worth to drive two mile south and go with cicinnatti dogs.

I was driving by at noon on a Saturday, and had yet to eat anything. I was very hungry, on the verge of hangry. I had this place bookmarked for a while, so it was time. I ordered the Italian Beef and a Chicago style hot dog. I filled my drink, and about five minutes later my food was delivered to my table. You can get your Italian Beef dry, wet, or dipped. I've always been a fan of the wet, even if it means that it makes things a bit messy. The sweet, hot peppers on this sandwich took it from great to awesome. I've eaten at a few Chicago style places in Pinellas, and I'm going to have to give them the nod for best Italian Beef in the county. The hot dog was really good, but it was not the best that I've had in the area. I would definitely come back for another Italian Beef next time I'm in Palm Harbor.

Henry's is absolutely amazing. Born and raised on Chicago's south side the food here makes me think I'm home. The pizza is also amazing here as well. You won't be disappointed if you eat here.

All set to get a Chicago dog and sorry to see them out of business. Wow! After over 10 years. You guys provided me with numerous dogs reminding me of Chicago. Sorry to see you go

I absolutely love this little gem of a place hidden in a strip mall of US-19. I'm going to be honest, I have never tried the Pizza and probably never will. That's because the Hot Dogs, Italian Beef, Hamburgers, French Fries, etc...are all SUPERB. I'm from NY but I love Chicago food too and it's REALLY hard to get good Chicago style food here in Tampa, but this place pulls it off. It's not as great as Portillo's in Chicago...but who is? Portillo's is likely the greatest fast food place in the United States. That said, the Italian Beef and French Fries (my usual) makes me SO happy when I eat here. In fact, these may be my favorite French Fries ANYWHERE. The owner is nice...the staff is nice...I eat here often and never, ever regret it.
(5)Tammy B.
Born and raised in Chicago and the food here as close as we're going to get to the real thing. Hot dogs are the closest to "Chicago style" followed by the pizza and then the beef. Sadly the beef is pretty bland. Dining in is scary, the floors , tables and trash /drink area needs major cleaning.
(3)Shannon S.
I'm very happy with Henry's! The restaurant is very clean, the employees are nice and the food is delicious! Very authentic Chicago style food. I definitely recommend their Italian beef. It's so good and flavorful. You won't be disappointed so if you've never had it you've got to try it!!

So coming from the Midwest, I have greatly missed some real Italian beef sandwiches. I've tried many Florida versions of the Italian beef, just to be let down." I called Portillos to ask them to open a Florida restaurant...to no avail. So when I came across this place, I was obviously hesitant. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried the Henry version. First, it was a great bun, not just a sub roll, but an airy hard roll that holds the beef sauce. The beef itself was tasty and had great gravy, that's what they call the sauce on these sandwiches. Add some hot peppers and you have a great sandwich. Prices were fair and the staff was friendly...so Portillos is still my favorite, but this definitely is my Florida top choice. By the way...the fries are good and the cheese sauce rocks.

I have been wanting to get to this place for a while as I am in search of a great Italian Beef. My only regret is I didnt make it here sooner. The sandwich is a decent size full of flavor I had it dipped, and also had an order of fries and drink. With tax it was $10.13. the fries were cooked fresh to order as I got there when they just opened so nothing was made up yet. I will be back probably next weekend, and I hope todays meal is how they normally serve it up.
(5)Violet R.
I couldn't believe how terrible the hot dogs were in this place. Their "chili" is NO DOUBT Hormel chili from a can.... I know the taste....disgusting. The people praising this place with perfect looking food pictures... can't be real. I'm sorry.... none of that exists in this place. Tiny overcooked hot dogs on gooey buns with dog food on them... is what they looked like. They got my $7 once.....and once only. Go to Steak and Shake...they have MUCH BETTER hot dogs.

I've been here before but today was ridiculous. We were all in the mood the Chi-town pizza, well as close to Chicago style pizza we could get here in FL Luckily we were in the neighborhood. Ordered a large pizza, pizza puff and fries. We were starving. Then the guy comes with our pizza. Yay! He puts down a burnt pizza. Boo! Not crispy, burnt. Black. Hard. Waaaay over done. The Pizza puff, overcooked. I'm talking the dough was hard as a rock. I even knocked on it in front of him. I only thing that wasn't burnt were the fries, well a little over cooked but at least not burnt! He did agree to cook a 2nd pizza and pizzapuff, but guess how that came out....yup, burnt again! Even the customers sitting next to us came over to look at the burnt food. They even said their fries were over cooked. If they would have just paid attention to what they were cooking, we could have had a decent meal. Instead, they blamed the oven, then the pan and then stating "oh that's just chicago pizza-crispy". Um, no. I was born and raised in Chicago. Pizza was a huge part of my upbringing. Huge, I'm talking gazillion celebrations with pizza, Happy Birthdays eating pizza, hey, it's Tuesday, lets get pizza. I still have fat cells oozing with real chicago pizza. Yes, it was that serious. So, we sat there, hungry, we did have some fries and there I am taking more pics. Did we want another pizza? Yes! Just not from here! Off to Paul's pizza we go! SMH

Just left Henry's Chicago Style, & let me tell you what. I WILL BE BACK! This is a great Chi-Town dog.

I'm giving my rating strictly on the Italian Beef which I've always enjoyed here. Yes, it tastes like a Chicago Beef. It's not exactly the same in looks and the bread is almost there. It doesn't matter, it's good. Listen, were not in Chicago! We can only wish we were! Were in Fl, Palm Harbor Fl, of course its not going to be identical to up North, but being a Chicago Native, I can say this place gets a thumbs up on the Beef from me. I'm not a big Hot Dog person so I haven't tried them yet to give a judgment, but I heard they were also pretty good. I like the fries a lot! I have tried the thin crust pizza and I would not recommend it. Now, it wasn't a bad tasting pizza, but to me did not taste like a Chicago pizza at all. Maxwell Street Sausage is decent, but the star of the show here is the Italian Beef. Now go in and try it, and I recommend getting the Au Jus gravy on the side and add yourself or your bun will get too soggy.

yummy dogs and reasonably priced. The Chicago dog was quite tastey... flavorful dog and nice soft poppy bun. we will visit again.
(4)Bob R.
A fun Chicago style Restraurant if your hungry for Italian beef or a good Chicago hot dog this is the place. Friendly staff go overboard to make you happy. My favorite is the Dicta sausage little hot but good.
(4)Karen T.
Sometimes you just have to have a hot dog! And when you do, you want a really good one. This is the place! Always great. Nice atmosphere. Clean. Quick. Good service. They have other great food too, but I can't seem to get past the dogs!
(5)Cori S.
My daughter was dying for an Italian beef so as we were driving down 19 we saw the sign for Henry's! We turned around and searched it out. The smells coming from the stand smelled delicious! We ordered 2 beefs, fries & a burger. Now, we live in chicago so when I say it's no portillos that's not meaning we didn't like the food. Portillos is hard to beat. I will have to admit the beefs were good & the fries reminded me slightly of portillos. Overall it was a good place to visit to get our fix. I would recommend it as being the closet find for the Chicago beef n dog
(4)John A.
The pizza was awful it tasted like a cheap frozen pizza from a supermarket they were out of ice for a soft drink don't waste your money
(1)Steve R.
A great family owned restaurant in Palm Harbor! The Chicago dog is very close to Portillo's. The Italian beef is filling but the gravy is not Chicago like.

First night visiting from Chicago and we get Chicago food for dinner... And it did not disappoint! Hotdog was good and def Chicago style, crinkle fries with cheese were yum, and the tamale was def a hometown fave! Burger was great and staff were awesome. When we visit out Clearwater condo we will definitely will make Henry's a regular stop. We just can't leave our Chicago style good for very long!

So what's a Chicago-Style Hot Dog? I'm from New York so I only know Nathan's or Sabrett hot dogs. You know, all-beef with mustard and sauerkraut on a soft roll. The description of a Chicago Style Hot Dog is: an all-beef hot dog topped with mustard, neon relish, chopped onion, tomatoes, dill pickle spear, sport peppers and celery salt on a steamed poppy seed bun...Wow! My friend, Duke and I decided to see what it's all about. He had the Chicago Dog and I had the Chili Dog (all-beef hot dog served with seasoned chili, chopped onion and shredded Cheddar cheese). We both really enjoyed our dogs respectively. I loved the snap of the hotdog when I bit into it and then the onion, chili and cheezy topping flavors mixed together had great flavor. Duke said his was the best hot dog he's ever had...thought the neon relish was colorful too! They also serve a Polish sausage with whatever toppings you want and a Maxwell Street Polish sausage topped with mustard, grilled onions and sport peppers. Definitely will have to try those soon. There's much more on the menu....including Chicago-Style thin crust pizza, burgers, beef and sausage sandwiches, subs, salads, and, yes, even beef tamales! It's a very comfortable atmosphere, with photo memorabilia of Chicago, and a mural of the Chicago skyline at night. It's also very clean and has a nice, friendly staff to greet you!

If you like to have some microwave hot dog, this is the place. But if you want good foods, go some place else

Henry's is a nice Palm Harbor find if you crave the tastes of Chicagoland. It's easy to find going north on Hwy 16 past Tampa Rd., in the Coral Landing Plaza that houses Ross, Publix, Carvel, Einstein Bros., and Boston Market stores, and is across the street from Lucky Dill. The building holds about 30 seats or so, tastefully decorated, with obligatory photos of the skyline, Chicago sports, and of course, Mike Ditka. There are also 2 big flatscreens for sports and news I've been here several times over the few weeks, with overall good results. The service has alway been very friendly, and while the food can take a few minutes to arrive at your table (I've found Henry's pretty busy the times I've visited), you know it's because each dish is prepared well. This is not a fast food place, and thank goodness. The chili dog is a high quality Vienna beef link on a poppy seed bun that was soft but didn't get soggy. The chili was tasty, a bit too mild for my taste, but typically good Chicago-style flavor. I've also had the Italian beef which they serve wet, dipped or dry with peppers on a French bread roll. I had mine wet, with the meat tasty and moist, and the bun was soon soggy as expected. Ahhh, a taste of home! Value is very good at Henry's as the prices are competitive and food is high quality. I'm anxious to try the Italian sausage on my next visit. My scores on the sandwich shop scale: Atmosphere: 5 Service: 4 Food: 4 Value: 4

We got a basket of fries and a basket of onion rings with our order of dogs, and I was surprised at how much they provide. They definitely provided a good amount of food for the price. Though the onion rings were intensely greasy, they still tasted good. The dogs were pretty tasty as well. When I arrived I was looking for a table for my group of friends to sit at, and I noticed that literally every single table was dirty. Not overly dirty, but there was a lunch or two eaten there and nobody had quality checked them to make sure they were clean for new-coming customers.

Unfortunately, I was told this was THE PLACE to come for deep dish Chicago style pizza. I guess I totally misunderstood. This is the second time I've been misled -- apparently "Chicago Style" is super thin crust pizza. Regardless of what it's called, I want the DEEP DISH pizza that is sold in Chicago. Aside from my disappointment when the server brought our pizza out (I cannot call it a 'pie' as it was really a cracker with toppings), my girlfriend and I were very disappointed in the pizza as it was offered. The cheese and sauce were good, but the crust was so thin and crispy and burned, it was hard to enjoy. The service was excellent! The guys working here were very friendly. I'd love to try the hot dogs here, as they looked like the real deal. But the pizza -- even if I had come here for thin crust -- was crunchy, carbonized, and disappointing. I'll come back for a dog, maybe, but never for the 'za. Sadface.

This is a nice family owned spot in Palm Harbor...I love the fact they have Italian Beef Sandwiches which are as rare in Florida as snowflakes..While not at the level of Al's.Portillos..or Bouna Beef in Chicago they are pretty good..excellent gravy..hot Giardiana and real Gonnella Bread....Their Hot Dogs..Italian Sausages..and Chicago Dogs are authentic as well..crispy French fries are a plus also..The one real negative is their Pizza.....no Chicago Style Restaurant should be serving thin crust pie....Chicago is synonomous with Deep Dish Pizza so this is a pretty big mistake...the other negative about Henry's is that even when its not busy it just seems like the food takes a little longer to get than it should;.when it's busy you better have an hour for lunch.....the Owner is usually in helping out and keeping an eye on the place so maybe it just takes that long...definitely worth a stop if you want to get a taste of The Windy City and don't feel like driving 1500 Miles
(4)Ted P.
Being from Chi Town, this is a great place away from home!
(4)Michelle P.
Place was filthy with ants crawling all around the drink station. Employee proceeded to smash them with a napkin and wipe them all over the counter. When I said that was gross, he got some cleaner to clean up properly. Never got a chance to eat the food. Couldn't stomach the thought after that.
(1)Shauna E.
Pretty good Chicago style hot dogs. Great fries. The atmosphere is friendly, very casual. A little overpriced for hot dogs but delicious regardless. They have burgers and salads too but I keep coming back for the chili dog with extra onions. Clean interior and the owner is always out in the dining room making conversation with the guests.
(3)Crystal S.
Clean, friendly, good atmosphere, reasonably priced, & delicious. Tasty dogs & crinkle cut fries. Fabulous Italian Beef. This place is becoming a habit.
(5)John O.
Great Chicago style hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches.

When you have a taste of home, Henry's is the place to go. Great beef, sausage, hot dogs and even tamales!!!!
